What Do I get out of strength and agility?

THE CLASS
  • Begin with an active warm up and dynamic stretching - Warm up those muscles to get the blood flowing, enhance range of motion specific to movements in the upcoming workout, decrease chance of injury!
  • Then we perform workouts designed to enhance coordination, and improve change of direction, first step quickness, acceleration, deceleration, explosive power, ankle stability, and reaction time.
  • End with core strengthening and stabilization, followed by static stretching.

GOALS
  • Inspire those uninspired by fitness, and teach those that are naturals to keep pushing themselves to new levels and improving their weaknesses.  
  • Get students hooked on training, so they can use what we work on in each session, outside the classroom.

    Helpful Workouts are posted on YouTube and instagram to all FiT Athlete members.  Students can use these to stay active and focus on certain areas, even while they are not in a training session.
  •  Keep training sessions both fun, educational, and intense, to ensure athletes bring their newly acquired skills to the field or court during competition! 
  • Inform students of how true functional power starts in the legs, transfers though the hips, and releases through the             arms in a kinetic chain.
  • Teach students to be resourceful when training outside a gym: use your surroundings and your own body weight.

Strength and Agility is a great class for everyone! Each week brings a variety of new exercises designed to improve all                 areas of one's fitness.  Young beginners to elite athletes are welcome to join!  We use proper training tools and                             progressive drills to ensure safety and to educate each student on the importance of form and technique.
